Cats should be a certain age before achieving a certain rank. There's no set requirement for ranks above apprentice, but they shouldn't be pushed more than a moon or so down from what's here.
Kit - 1-6 moons
Apprentice - 6-12 moons; note that 12 is not the mandatory apprentice-to-warrior age; apprentices can be stalled from becoming a warrior due to injury or anything else
Warrior - 12+ moons -- To mentor an apprentice, a warrior should have been a warrior for at least 6 moons
Elder 96-180 moons -- That's if they go to the elders den due to old age; they can be sent to the elders den due to injury, etc. Also, particularly old leaders usually won't go to the elders den; they're extra lives strengthen them...I think xD
Medicine Cat - 16+ moons -- Medicine cats generally train longer than normal apprentices, remember
Deputy - 24+ moons
Leader - 30+ moons
