Names
-Understand that warrior names are meant to describe a certain quality, and are not just two words tossed together. The first word can be a noun, an adjective, or a verb, but the second word will always be a noun only. The two should always have /some/ connection with each other.
-If the last letter of the prefix and first letter of the suffix are the same, then put a hyphen between them. This counts for kit names, apprentice names, and leader names. Even if it’s not done in the books, it’s correct to do so. (For example: Mist-tail, Beech-heart.)
-Remember that cats don’t know everything you do. Here are some things that are unacceptable in names –
If another living cat has a certain prefix in their name, your cat can not have the same one. Two-part names will be generally accepted, but there should be /some/ relation between the prefix and suffix (No Otterwings, mmkay? D:). Two-parters that appear to give the cat a bad image (Blackheart) will be rejected.
If in doubt, check with someone.

- Man-made things.
- Metals and precious gems, or salt or coal.
- Astronomical stuff, like comets (which would be called 'falling warriors' or whatnot), or 'sun', 'star', and 'moon', which are sacred.
- Human folklore (Dragons, Nymphs).
- Spirit, Soul, etc.
- Obscure words that require a thesaurus.
- Animals from the tropics, desert, ocean, Arctic, etc. The cats aren't set in a specific place, but whatever animal they're named for should be in an area like this roleplay's setting.
- Death, Fallen, Haunted, Frozen, etc.
- 'Jay' and 'Pale', as those are the Clan names.
- Names that originate from eye color. Kits' eyes are closed at first, and then blue for a long time. And the mother won't be calling her offspring 'hey kit' for a month or so. So names should come from appearance, whether it's color, size, or resemblance to something.
- It's not exactly /forbidden/, but we'd like you to avoid real words for names, like Blackthorn, or things that are close, like Dustcloud.
