About Your Character:
Name:
Oakpaw
(once named Click)
Rank:
Apprentice
Gender:
Tom
Age:
Nine Moons
Clan:
PaleClan
Beliefs:
Oakpaw was born a kittypet, so of course he wouldn't believe in StarClan. But he's heard the cats of the clans mention them enough to have some curiosity in the strange clan. Maybe there really is one, he's not sure. But for now he wouldn't put his faith in them. Since he wasn't a part of the clans during the storm, it didn't really affect his belief. But hearing about how it affected the clans has caused Oakpaw to wonder why the cats put so much faith in a group of dead cats who didn't help them.
Mentor/Apprentice:
Needs a mentor
Kin:
Former kittypet, so he does not have any in his clan.
Willow (mother, kittypet), Tulip (sister, kittypet)
Mate:
Er, he's a bit too young.
Appearance:
A brown tabby, through and through. Tabby blood runs strong in his veins, making his stripes a lot bolder than some cats may have. His belly and chest fur is a light brown color, with a few dapples of white on it here and there. His chin is white as well as a small area on his neck. His ears are a bit too large for him, and he's convinced he'll never grow into them.
Oakpaw is of average build. He's not the largest cat, and not the smallest one. His body has no particular form that's better suited for hunting or fighting (but he prefers fighting). He likes to think he'll grow up to being a strong cat, but doesn't think about the future much.
Personality:
Oakpaw is a follower, not a leader. This cat has got almost no ambition, besides wanting to be a great warrior one day. But what cat doesn't want to be great? Because of this he'd much rather take orders instead of trying to think of them. But he can be pretty scatterbrained, which leads to him asking questions about what he's suppose to do over and over until he actually does it.
Oakpaw is not the smartest cat there is. He's not stupid; it's more like he doesn't trust his own thoughts. He never thinks that his ideas are good enough for the clan, and tends to stay in the background being pretty quiet. This is probably because he's not clanborn, and doesn't know what would happen if he tried speaking up in front of the rest of his clan.
Occasionally he'll do something he's actually proud of. When that does happens, he can be quite the boaster, even if it is short lived. Oakpaw isn't much of an extrovert, so he prefers using subtle methods to boast, rather than just come out and say 'Hey guys, I just killed a badger, isn't that great?'
When in comes to battle, Oakpaw can actually be quite fierce and courageous. He's never been in a full out battle, but he has practiced against other cats, and doesn't give up easily. Even when it looks like he should be down for the count, Oakpaw will get right back up and keep trying. After all, a job half done is not done, he always says.
History:
Oakpaw was born as Click, the son of a kittypet who belong to an elderly twoleg couple. The couple was surprised when their beloved Willow (Oakpaw's mother) gave birth to two brown kittens, but didn't reject the young cats at all. Willow was an outdoor cat, and raised her kittens in the backyard of the twolegs house, only taking them in when it got too cold at night.
Click and Tulip (Oakpaw's sister) quickly adapted to being outdoor cats. They never met their father, but their mother spun tales of a brave tom cat who fought for what was best for outdoor cats. Click became quite found of the story when their father fought with another cat to defend his mother from a large creature called a 'badger'. He had never seen any animals in the wild besides bird and mice, and found it amazing that a cat could fight so bravely.
One day a cat that Click had never before came into the twoleg place, yowling about a large group of cats who traveled from a far away place. Click was interested, and tried to get close to the strange cat to learn more, but was stopped by his mother. It seemed she knew something, but would tell. At this Click grew quite angry at his mother, and began taking long trips away from his home, only coming back every few days or so.
One day on his trip he was attempting to hunt a bird when in the distance, he heard the cry of a successful hunt. Curious, he stumbled upon a few cats that were hunting, and watched as they brought their prey back to a group of feral cats. Watching the feral cats, he didn't notice the second patrol sneaking up on him. The patrol moved to attack, but when they saw it was only one cat, they brought him back to the clans instead.
There he learned about the clans and how they lived. Immediately he became entranced with their way of life. Awkwardly he asked if he could join them and after careful consideration, was accepted into PaleClan. They needed more members and he was young, he could be train in the way of a clan cat easily.

He's not my first cat, so it's optional, right?
