Name: Shalepaw
Rank: Apprentice
Gender: She-cat
Age: 10 and a half moons
Clan: PaleClan
Beliefs: Shalepaw is kind of doubting that StarClan exists. Though after the storm, she wants to believe that they are there. She helped her brother [Bramblestar] through many things, and eventhough her faith was un-steady with StarClan, she helped convince him that they were watching over them.
She does believe, though, that they existed at one point. Because they had to. She had seen her brother lose a life, then come back. StarClan had to be there to send him back... right? The nine-lives thing wasn't a big hoax, was it? She often wonders if StarClan will ever come back to them.
Mentor: Mottledstorm
Kin: Brindlestar, Frostfang [mother, deceased], Blackcloud
(Her mother mated with a different tom, after Frostfang's first mate died. That's how Shalepaw is black, and not a tabby, like Brindlestar.)
Mate: None
Appearance: Shalepaw has dark black fur, with a bit of a hint of blue to it [in the moonlight, at least]. The only not black part of her body, is a small cream colored patch on her right fore-paw. Her fur is fairly short, but somehow gets intertwined with things rather easily. It takes awhile to groom her pelt thoroughly, because eventhough it may be short, it is pretty thick.
Her build is kind of big. Shalepaw has thick muscles, that make her a rather large apprentice. Her shoulders are wide, along with her head. Her legs are long and muscular. She has big paws, that are bigger than some of the warriors' paws, even. Though she is big, she is as big as she is going to get. Shalepaw won't grow any longer. Her ears are short and pointed and her nose is sort of flat.
The she-cat has long, black whiskers that droop a little bit. She has round, green eyes with yellow flecks in them. The apprentice's pads are black, along with her nose. Shalepaw doesn't have too many scars, except for one with a rogue when she was a younger apprentice. It runs across her chest, up to her neck. Shalepaw has sharp, short teeth, and long claws that dull easily. She has to sharpen them often.
Personality: She has a great sense of humor, and loves joking around. But, she never crosses the line... she knows where to stop. Bad experiances. She offends cats without meaning to, sometimes. Shalepaw doesn't think through some situations very well, but in some cases she is thinking ahead. Shalepaw is really a lovable cat once you get to know her. The she-cat doesn't take things personally, and is sometimes oblivious when someone is trying to offend her. Shalepaw
One of her bad qualities would be... that she judges way too quickly. Sometimes she sees a cat and immediately judges them by their appearences, other than getting to know them. But other than that, there really is no reason not to like her. She adores kits, and loves playing with them. Also, Shalepaw is quick-witted, and makes decisions fast. She knows how to lie, and tries not to unless it is necissary. Her fast thinking really helps out when it comes to battle, where she can judge her opponents moves, and react before they know what's happening. [Usually]
History:
Shalekit
As a kit, she was playful and happy, like most other kits. She joked around and used sarcasm (which she had picked up from her mother) alot. The kits who were with her in the nursery seemed to like her. She was usually the traitor cat when they played, and she always ended up winning.
At this time in her life, nothing really important happened.
Moving on.
Shalepaw
Her sarcasm and comedian-ish personality was growing each day. Which... got in her way a couple of times. One time in particular.
-story timeee- (8 moons)
Silently padding through the forest, Shalepaw sniffed. She was following a scent trail that smelled of weird-scented cats. The scent smelled of crowfood and fox dung, mixed together. Most cats would have turned back and forgot about the strange trail, but Shalepaw padded on. Soon enough, the smell led her to a small patch of undergrowth. Poking her head through the ferns, the fox dung and crowfood smell overwhelmed her. She cautiously stepped out of the undergrowth and swung her head from side to side, in search of the source of the scent. A hiss erupted from behind her, and Shalepaw turned hard on her paws, finding herself face to face with a broad shouldered, muscular cat. She stepped back, cringing at the scent.
"What are you doing on this land?" The cat's deep voice grumbled, and the tom stepped forward. His breath smelled of twoleg waste and other strange wonders, that left Shalepaw speachless. "Spit it out!" He hissed.
Shalepaw flicked her ears. "This is PaleClan territory." She mewed back, glad that her voice hadn't quavered. "So why don't you get off our land, and take your gross smell with you." Flicking her tail with defiance, she took a small step forward so that they were nose-to-nose. The tom stared at her with the most deadly glare that she had ever seen.
"What did you say?" He demanded.
"I said... get off our territory, you piece of fox dung!" As soon as she said the words, she knew that she had gone too far. Within a few heartbeats, Shalepaw found herself in a tangle of claws and fangs. Quickly, the huge tom had her pinned down, teeth bared, ready to rip her neck apart. Just then, a border patrol erupted from nearby.
Luckily, they drove off the tom, who spat at her, "I will remember your face for the rest of my life." Shalepaw let out a shudder. Was the cat going to come back and get revenge? Or was it just a pointless threat?

Anyhoo, when she was about 10 moons old, the whole storm ordeal came about. Many, many deaths occured. Including her parents. She was absolutely devistated. Her mother had been wonderful to her, and had been the closest of her kin, in with Brindlestar. But somehow, she managed to stay strong. Shalepaw watched her brother after the storm, for awhile. He seemed worse off than her, which was surprising.
She could see right through his act. He was a mental case. Shalepaw helped him through his tough times occasionally, and she believes that her help had made him strong enough to lead the Clan to their new home.
Brindlestar so owed her.
Roleplay Example: I don't believe that I need one, If I'm not mistaken...
