About Your Character:[/b][/color]
[glow=red,1,600]/Milkyface is a mute cat/[/glow]
Name: Milkyface
Rank: Warrior
Gender: She-cat
Age: 24 Moons
Clan: JayClan
Beliefs: Milkyface still believes in StarClan, but sometimes she has her doubts. She sees StarClan as a place cats go when they descend, but that's the end. She no longer believes that StarClan looks after her, they seem too greedy and care about themselves. She fights for the sake of her clan, not for lazy dead cats in the sky.
Mentor/Apprentice: Apprentice is open, however her apprentice may have trouble understanding her.
Kin: Bitterntail [Father], Mistyheart [Mother], and Addernose. [Brother]
Mate: None, looking. Due to her disability, she believes she may never find a tom who can accept her, as their kits may also be mute.
Appearance: She has an average build, with a good amount of muscles on her front paws. She has a long of fur, so it sometimes gets matted up along her pelt.
Milkyface has a wan coat, with not much color on some areas. However, she has quite a few tawny spots scattered across her pelt.
Her tail consists of a light cream (milky color, hence her name) shade with streaks of white wisped in the color. It seems more bulgy than usual cats, but this doesn't bother Milkyface any.
In comparison to the rest of her body, her ears seem quite small. They are just like the rest of her pelt, a beige and white shade.
Personality: Milkyface is a very insecure cat. She doesn't really feel she can trust a lot of the cats, and it is very hard to communicate with them. She is afraid the cats think of her as a freak, and she dislikes her mutant feature. She tries to be kind, but she just wants her clan to accept her. Since she is always trying to impress other cats, she messes up quite frequently, and gets humiliated even more.
History:
& Can she talk? ;- Milkykit
Her parents, Bitterntail and Mistyheart, had a forbidden relationship. They were each in different clans, Bitterntail in PaleClan, and Mistyheart in JayClan. They were young, foolish warriors. Bitterntail never meant for Mistyheart to have kits, but they were naive recently named warriors. Mistyheart did tell JayClan who the father was, and his clan.
When it was time for her kitting, she was a nervous wreck. Thankfully, she delivered two healthy kits, named Milkykit and Adderkit. She adored the little darlings, but her heart was pounding about Bitterntail.
Many days later, she stealthfullly sneaked out of her clan, having one of queens watch her kits. Bitterntail was enthusiastic that Mistyheart delivered his kits, and he demanded to see them. Mistyheart slyly re-entered JayClan territory, and took her kits with her. She met up with Bitterntail, and showed him their kits. She has been suckling then for awhile, and her cream kit barely spoke a word, except her occasional out-of-tone squeaks. The black kit (Adderkit) was rather whinny and demanding.
The two cats discussed their kit's futures, and thought it was best to have one kit in each clan. However, Bitterntail took over the conversation and demanded that Adderkit leave with PaleClan. Mistyheart questioned this, but Bitterntail was a rather stubborn tom. She picked up her "share-of-the-deal", wondering why he was so reluctant not to take Milkykit. After she arrived at camp, she padded over to the nursery holding Milkykit by her scruff.
Days went by, and Milkykit never mewed along with the other kits. Queen were puzzled, and elders were curious. Mistyheart finally declared her kit was mute, unable to speak.
Mistyheart herself was ashamed of her kit, wondering why her darling must be struck with this disability.

& Who would apprentice that? ;- Milkypaw
Once it was time for her to become an apprentice, some of the current warriors had a hoot. Comments like, "That will be a warrior?" and "That little thing can't even talk!". Mistyheart was trying to teach Milkypaw she wasn't useless. She was trying to teach her that her muteness wasn't a curse, but an ability. "At least your mentor will never have to tell you to be quiet?" With a smile on her face, this is what Mistyheart told Milkypaw, expecting that to make her feel better.
Sure enough, her mentor was appointed. Patchwhisker was her name, and to Milkypaw, she seemed a tad old. But really, Milkypaw didn't complain. She was glad her leader appointed her a mentor, and found her mentor suitable to train a mute cat. She thought that her leader appointed Patchwhisker on purpose, maybe she was a patient cat? She hoped so, as she didn't want a big-mouthed mentor bossing her around.
Moons later.
It has been quite a few moons later from the date she was apprenticed, and she thought her training has been going okay, until her mentor told her some depressing news. Patchwhisker told her that her future as a warrior was very dim, as it was hard for her to communicate with others. Milkypaw was dearly upset after her mentor told her this, so her work into training began to slack. Why should she care, she would probably never become a warrior, she always thought to herself. Why should she even try?
Then the storm hit.
Milkypaw was still awake, as she always had troubling falling into a slumber. She heard commotion outside of camp, so she decided to leave her bed of nettles. She stealthily walked out of the apprentice den, careful to try and not to wake the other apprentices like herself. Once she stepped outside of camp, things became blurry. Elders were screeching, and lean warriors were racing around camp. Thunder was pounding along the once beautiful JayClan, and gusts of wind were proudly terrorizing their camp, and all Milkypaw could do was stand in shock as her camp she once knew was being destroyed in seconds. She saw warriors leading cats out of the clan, and she swiftly followed. Many branches came shooting from the trees, painfully stabbing her in her legs. Many of the wounds the branches formed are still visible on her legs. She followed the warriors leading them out of the camp, and began the journey to find a new home.
& Forest at last ;- Milkypaw
Once they found the new forest, she was reunited with the mentor she at one point despised. However, she finally realized that the more she trains, the more chances of her becoming a warrior. Or that's what Patchwhisker told her, anyway. Patchwhisker wasn't severely hurt, but she still suffered from deep wounds in her paw from where sticks poked their way threw. It was almost agonizing for Patchwhisker to walk, but she tried her hardest to still train Milkypaw, even though most of the time she was forced to limp. Their training resumed, and sure enough, Milkypaw did work harder on their training, and the clueless Patchwhisker was astonished. How could a cat that could not question her mentor, talk to others, and more dilemmas at hand turn out to be a fierce apprentice? Patchwhisker still noticed her shy side, but sometimes Milkypaw was wild. During those times, Patchwhisker praised her instead of scolding her, which most mentors would probably do.
Sure enough, it was time for her warrior ceremony. She was tingling in pride as her leader spoke her new name. Milkyface.
& Haha, she can hardly patrol! ;- Milkyface.
Still to this moon, Milkyface still fears exclusion from her fellow clanmates. She tries to interact with them, but most of the time she gets shy and nervous, doubting they will never accept her. However, most of the time she doesn't even try to become friends with the cats of JayClan. She gets too worried and frightened, then gets all scared when she is around them. She can't really trust any other cat, but what is a need for trust? It isn't like she could tell them something.
And now the present! Will Milkyface ever get accepted? don don don!
Picture:
Note, I plan on submitting an application for Addernose (warrior) in PaleClan, and Patchwhisker (elder) in JayClan.
