Neutral Territory
In the crook of the Y-shape, there is a clearing, which is where the cats go for Gatherings. A large, lone tree sits in the center of the clearing. It has many thick branches, permitting the leaders to sit on the tree, looking down on the Clans. Stepping stones allow access across the river.
The whole clearing surrounding the tree was made into neutral territory. Neither Clans hunt there--which is just as well, because prey doesn't go there much anyways, because of all the cats every full moon--but both Clans' medicine cats may go there to collect whatever herbs they might find.
Sacred Territory
Cutting diagonally through the Thunderpath is part of the Y-shaped river, flowing away from Clan territory and the farm. A stone bridge was made on the Thunderpath so monsters could pass over. It also allows cats to pass under the Thunderpath, giving them access to the farm as well as the Mooncave. The Mooncave rests in a small triangle of land between the stream and the Thunderpath.
Inside, the cave is nothing special--at first glance. Medicine cats can still feel strongly the presence of their warrior ancestors. In the back of the cave lies a particularly large rock, which looks fairly plain despite its size. The medicine cats and leaders press their noses against this rock when they go to the Mooncave.
Sometimes twoleg kits from the farm go to play in the caves, but the medicine cats have yet to be disrupted during their meetings with StarClan.
